Snežana Nena Brzaković studied singing in Belgrade/Serbia and in Berlin. She has received numerous prizes and awards. She completed her further artistic training with Prof. Norma Sharp, Brigitte Fassbaender and Inge Borgh. She sang numerous roles in her field and gave concerts and recitals in Germany, Austria, Belarus, Ukraine, Lithuania, Spain, Poland, Serbia, etc.
From 1998 to 2007 she taught singing and the art of teaching at the Musikhochschule “Hanns Eisler” Berlin. Since 2006 she has been the artistic and pedagogical director of the Institute for Singing and Breath Training in Berlin. She has taught as a guest professor at the Music and Theatre Academy in Vilnius/Lithuania and Riga/Latvia as well as at the Music Conservatory in Maribor and Ljubljana/Slovenia.
She is a singing teacher and adjudicator at international master classes and singing competitions worldwide. Many of her students are now successful singers in international venues (e.g. Berlin State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, Komische Oper Berlin, Gran Teatre del Liceu-Barcelona, etc.). Snežana Nena Brzaković has been engaged as a vocal teacher at the Staatsoper Berlin since 2015 and works very successfully as a vocal coach with the choirs and children’s soloists for various opera productions.
She has had the privilege of giving her master classes and seminars of breathing training and vocal technique in Singapore, Borneo, Malaysia, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Slovenia, Montenegro, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, etc. Since 2019, she has been an examination expert in the Opera Studio/Voice Department at the Bern University of the Arts/Switzerland.
Since 2007 she has been a guest lecturer and artistic director at the Opera Oder Spree.
