Aleksej Ilyenko was born in Russia in the town of Sysran (Volga region).
From 1967 to 1972 he attended the music college in Petropavlovsk (Kamchatka) studying piano and accompaniment.
From 1972 to 1981 he completed his studies (piano, choral conducting and conducting) at the conservatory and college in Vladivostok, Kazan and Krasnodar.
From 1983 to 1996 he was the director of the Music and Art School of the city of Taman Krasnodar Region (on the Black Sea). During this time he worked for many years with the children’s choir.
In 1997 he emigrated to Germany. There he began his organ studies in Berlin (Kirchenmusik C-Seminar).
Since 1999 he has been a piano teacher, accompanist, organ teacher and choir director at the music school LOS “Jutta Schlegel”. Since 2000 he has also been répétiteur and rehearsal leader of the Singakademie Frankfurt(Oder).
Subsequently, from 2002, he has been pianist at the International Opera Course Opera Oder Spree.
He was the Musical Director on seven productions in children’s music theatre, including the children’s opera “The Wolf and the Seven Little Kids” by M. Koval (2008) and “Beggar’s Opera” by J. Pepusch (2012).
For Oper Oder Spree, he has prepared the scores, orchestral material, piano reductions of: “Jolante” by P. Tchaikovsky (2004), “Orfeo ed Euridice” by Ch. W. Gluck (2005), “Die junge Gräfin” by F. Gassmann (2007), “Casanova” by A. Lortzing (2010), “Angiolina” by A. Salieri (2011) and “Die Freunde von Salamanca” by F. Schubert (2012).
